Description	:	Viennese-Israeli, born 1928 signed,oil on canvas 26 x 26 inches Note: Born in Vienna, Rakia came to Israel at the age of 10. After fighting in 1948 he studied with Ardon and attended the Bezalel School of Art. From 1955-60, he attended the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. He has held one man shows in France, England, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and Israel. He is known for his emphasis on light and shade, his mystical use of Hebrew letters and his impressionistic landscapes.
