Bohemian, 19th century. The long undyed cotton strip realistically embroidered in red cotton thread in 4 registers, the first showing the sun’s rays and central Magen David with Hebrew words “For Pesach“, the second showing figures of “the Wise son and Wicked son“, the third with figures of the “Simple son and the One who doesn’t know how to ask“, and the fourth showing the symbolic foods of the Seder and blessing over the Matzah in leafy surround, beautifully embroidered.64″ long x 15” wide.Literature
